Well chosen words!
John is a regular guest commentator on tv and radio on law and politics including Fox News, the O'Reilly Factor, and Chris Matthews Hardball. John often speaks about issues that concern him, again mostly law and politics, from what's local, like the police state in Prince William County targeting Hispanics, to what's national including who might be VP in the presidential sweepstakes (if not Senator Hillary Clinton, then perhaps VA Senator Jim Webb). John also writes op-eds and editorials; and you might be interested to read his book, "Pain in America - and how our government makes it worse!".

SCALIA'S RULE BOOK - DO WHAT I SAY! by John P. Flannery Associate Justice Antonin Scalia, of the U.S. Supreme Court, has broken his media silence to talk on camera in order to hawk a rule book (115 rules to be precise) that he's written with Bryan Garner, his sycophantic co-author whose claim to fame is as the author of "Modern American Usage" and the "Elements of Legal Style".
The title of the book is "Making your case - the Art of Persuading Judges."
Perhaps it's too stern a standard to expect any public figure, much less a Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, to tell us how it all really works - and trust me you won't find out reading this book. You'd get much more out of listening to Justice Scalia's interviews promoting his book. There are, however, some interesting anomalies for the alert observer. FLANNERY: WRITE-IN CANDIDATE FOR DAANGRY THAT INCUMBENT USED HIS OFFICE TO FAVOR A POLITICAL CRONY John Flannery, a former federal prosecutor, announced a write-in campaign in the final two weeks before last November's election (2007), when the local prosecutor indicted the primary opponent of the State Senate candidate that he had actively endorsed; the gambit worked because his primary candidate was elected; but then the indictment was dismissed for grand jury irregularities shortly before the general election. "My law firm thought the announcement was a great idea the first week when we announced but wasn't so sure the second week when we received endorsements from Republicans and Democrats and the blogs, and many thought I might win," Flannery said. "We ran to win, to create a law office worthy of our community and, in the end, we got 20% of the vote when my friends and neighbors wrote in my name; but there's no evidence - none - that the local prosecutor learned a thing about good government." [You can read the local coverage and the Post mention of the announcement]
